Danny Harrison is a successful Dallas business man that wants to help Texas be all that it can be. In the past, he has worked closely in a variety of capacities with Code Enforcement, Parks Department, City Council Representatives, City Staff, the Mayor’s office, City Attorney’s office, and the Dallas Police Department. He was appointed by Mayor Laura Miller to serve on URSB (Urban Rehabilitation Standards Board).
He has served as the Vice-President or RANDCO (Richardson North Dallas Coalition), where he concentrated on beautification projects and code enforcement. He has served as the President of The Oaks of Montfort Homeowners Association, where he led efforts to raise money from surrounding Homeowners Associations and businesses to plant trees and flowers along medians. He has also served on the Trinity River Recreation Committee and the Cottonwood Trail Steering Committee.
Danny was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and has been a resident of Dallas, Tx since 1967. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. In 1989, he opened Harrison Landscape and Design. He has grown the company into a successful Commercial/Residential landscape maintenance and construction company.
Danny is a devoted family man. He and his wife, Tracie, live in the Uptown area of Dallas. Tracie attended Liberty University and is a college counselor at Trinity Christian Academy. Danny has an eleven year old daughter, Raven. Tracie has a 21 year old daughter, Lexi. Lexi is a senior at the University of North Texas at Dallas, where she is studying Public Health.
Danny believes that Texas is an extraordinary state, with extraordinary people. Being from Texas means something…it means something special! He wants to keep the dream alive and be sure that Texas will “knock it out of the park” in every way. Danny will keep the Texas dream alive!
